Yelp engineering culture is driven by our values: we’re a cooperative team that values individual authenticity and encourages creative solutions to problems. All new engineers deploy working code their first week, and we strive to broaden individual impact with support from managers, mentors, and teams. At the end of the day, we’re all about helping our users, growing as engineers, and having fun in a collaborative environment.
Yelp’s Infrastructure group ensures our services run smoothly, cost-effectively, and with the highest bar for reliability. We love building reliable, scalable, and innovative computing platforms that empower every Yelp engineer—and, by extension, millions of users—every day.
Do you enjoy solving hard infrastructure problems at scale? Are you excited to manage high-performing teams in cloud operations, cost management, and incident response? As the Director of Compute Platform, you’ll lead teams responsible for Yelp’s compute platform, driving initiatives in compute infrastructure and cloud economics. This director-level role shapes our technical strategy, empowers team members, and partners with stakeholders across engineering and business disciplines. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, reliability, and scale of Yelp’s systems, with broad influence across the company.
