At Yelp, we value a collaborative and innovative approach to solving business challenges. Our Business Technology team empowers Yelp’s financial operations and helps shape our $1.41B revenue pipeline.
As Director of Business Technology, you will drive the next generation of financial platforms at the intersection of finance, engineering, and technology, requiring both visionary leadership and deep technical expertise. You’ll be responsible for the financial platforms that underpin our complex revenue streams—from multi-format ad marketplaces to SaaS offerings and consumer transactions. You’ll work cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, and Commerce Engineering teams to ensure financial accuracy, drive innovation, and support Yelp’s expanding business and product lines.
You'll lead a diverse team, including Oracle specialists, data engineers, and business systems analysts distributed across the US, Canada, and the UK. With most of your time shaped by strategic vision and long-term planning, and the remainder focused on operational excellence, you’ll have the chance to define and implement transformative strategies especially related to AI/ML for data analysis and anomaly detection. In this remote role, your impact will directly empower Yelp’s financial operations and future scalability.
Are you eager to take on strategic challenges and scale dynamic, distributed teams? Do you want to define long-term architectural direction for financial systems and build future-ready teams around AI/ML? If this sounds like you, we’d love to talk!
This opportunity is fully remote and does not require you to be located in any particular state within the US. We welcome applicants from throughout the US. We’d love to have you apply, even if you don’t feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes.
