Summary

Yelp’s mission is to connect people with great local businesses. As a trusted source of information on local business, millions of people turn to Yelp every day to make decisions about where to spend their money- from where to eat, shop or stay, to which home or local service provider to use, and beyond.

As a Consumer Product Marketing Manager, you will define and execute the strategies that connect consumers to our products, drive feature adoption, and shape market perception. In this highly cross-functional role, you will partner closely with Marketing, Product, Analytics, and Growth teams to gather insights, develop compelling positioning, and lead go-to-market plans that produce business results. You’ll be equal parts strategist, analyst, and storyteller - passionate about deeply understanding consumers, solving their needs, and bringing exceptional product experiences to life.

We are especially interested in candidates who bring direct experience with AI-driven marketing or who demonstrate a deep curiosity and enthusiasm for leveraging AI and emerging technologies to advance our product marketing objectives.

We’d love to have you apply, even if you don’t feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes. This is a full-time remote role based in the United States.

What you'll do:

  • Assess market needs and conduct research,  in partnership with market and product research teams, to influence new product development, acting as the voice of the customer for product and engineering teams.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, industry trends, and customer needs across key segments.
  • Drive feature gap analyses and identify opportunities to improve existing products and experiences based on market feedback, data, and competitive insights.
  • Develop crisp segmentation, positioning, and value propositions by integrating insights from consumer research and market analysis.
  • Lead the strategy and flawless execution of go-to-market launches for new products, features, and enhancements - partnering with designers, marketers, content creators, and cross-functional teams.
  • Build cohesive, compelling messaging frameworks and execute outstanding copy across multiple touchpoints, ensuring brand consistency and clarity.
  • Execute ongoing product storytelling and campaign strategies that drive engagement and reinforce our value proposition.
  • Measure impact of launches and campaigns; iterate based on data and insights to optimize results.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills - set priorities, problem-solve, multitask, and work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Display outstanding prioritization and project management skills, balancing immediate execution with long-term vision.
  • Collaborate with in-house designers and content developers to deliver best-in-class content aligned with product launches and key milestones.
  • Champion alignment with Marketing, Comms, Community, Customer Support and Product teams to ensure consistency in product messaging, positioning, and activation.
  • Maintain a leadership presence: influence, inspire, and motivate cross-functional partners and stakeholders up, down, and across the business.
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance consumer insights, marketing strategies, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Develop the content strategy in close collaboration with Growth, Social, PR, and Community teams - to ensure consistent, compelling messaging and seamless customer experiences across all channels and touchpoints.

What it takes to succeed:

  • 7-10 years of experience in product marketing, consumer marketing, or related roles.
  • Experience driving consumer research, market/competitive analysis, and audience segmentation.
  • Experience crafting positioning, value props, and messaging that win in competitive markets.
  • Expertise working with designers and content teams to deliver seamless, customer-facing communications across channels.
  • Demonstrated copywriting experience, with a knack for turning complex ideas into clear, compelling language and consumer stories
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills - comfortable extracting insights from data and applying them to real-world execution.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and prioritization skills in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
  • Leadership presence with the ability to influence and inspire teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience with, or strong enthusiasm for, applying AI solutions in product marketing.

What you'll get:

  • Effective your first day: Full medical, vision, and dental
  • 15 days PTO (accrual begins on date of hire and increases with 2+ years of tenure thereafter), 12 paid holidays, plus one floating holiday
  • Up to 14 weeks of parental leave
  • Monthly wellness subsidy
  • Work from home reimbursement
  • Flexible spending account
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Employee stock purchase plan
  • Compensation range for this position is $106,000- $198,000 annually. You may also be offered a bonus and benefits.
