Summary

Yelp’s mission is to connect people with great local businesses. As a trusted source of information, millions of people turn to Yelp every day to make decisions about where to spend their money, from where to eat, shop or stay, to which home or local service provider to use, and beyond.

As a Growth Operations Manager, you’ll be instrumental in advancing our owned channel marketing, leading technical campaign execution, and pioneering the adoption of AI-driven approaches to consumer engagement. Reporting to the Associate Director of Growth Science & Operations, you’ll partner cross-functionally to ensure strategic, data-informed, and operationally robust Growth Marketing programs across email, push, in-app and emerging channels. You’ll play a key role in solution design review, experimentation strategy, technical troubleshooting, and new channel exploration, while staying agile in an environment shaped by continuous platform change and technological innovation.

We’d love to have you apply, even if you don’t feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes. This is a full-time remote role based in the United States.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and oversee the development, execution, and continual improvement of multi-channel campaigns across email, push, in-app and new channels, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and team goals.
  • Review and advise on technical solution designs, ensuring campaigns are robust, compliant, and set up for measurable success.
  • Develop, implement, and validate experiment methodologies, ensuring rigorous design and actionable learning to drive channel strategy forward.
  • Monitor and adapt to changes in marketing platforms, policies, devices, and AI-driven trends, communicating pivots and updates to key stakeholders swiftly.
  • Build, iterate, and advocate for best-in-class channel strategies, leveraging analytics frameworks and AI tools to maximize channel performance.
  • Partner with MarTech, product and analytics teams to troubleshoot technical challenges, streamline processes, and develop scalable solutions.
  • Mentor and collaborate with team members, supporting a data-first, experiment-driven culture across Consumer Growth Science & Operations.
  • Stay current with digital marketing, data privacy, and MarTech trends and champion their adoption across the team.

What it takes to succeed:

  • 7+ years' experience in growth or lifecycle marketing (email, push, in-app etc) and hands-on campaign execution
  • Demonstrated experience with technical campaign solutioning, A/B testing, and reporting
  • Proficiency in modern MarTech automation and analytics platforms (e.g., Braze, SFMC, others)
  • Strong competency (or willingness to develop) with AI-driven workflows and decisioning engines
  • Exceptional project management, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills
  • Experience in interpreting and troubleshooting deliverability, compliance, and platform changes
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or technical certifications are a plus
  • HTML, SQL, Liquid or similar and data analysis proficiency (Excel, dashboards) is a strong asset

What you'll get:

  • Effective your first day: Full medical, vision, and dental
  • 15 days PTO (accrual begins on date of hire and increases with 2+ years of tenure thereafter), 12 paid holidays, plus one floating holiday
  • Up to 14 weeks of parental leave
  • Monthly wellness subsidy
  • Work from home reimbursement
  • Flexible spending account
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Employee stock purchase plan
  • Compensation range for this position is $106,000.00- $198,000.00 annually. You may also be offered a bonus and benefits.
