Summary

Yelp is looking for a Employee Advocate Coordinator to partner with our Advocate Partners.  You will be part of a dynamic team of employee relations experts integrated into a high-performing People Operations team. You will help the Advocate Partner function succeed at Yelp, which in turn will maintain and improve upon our engaging and inclusive culture.

The Employee Advocate Coordinator partners with the Advocate Partner in supporting team members, leaders and the company as a whole, assisting with employee professional and personal concerns and assisting leaders through HR situations. The Employee Advocate Coordinator manages administrative tasks for their assigned Advocate Partner(s) and supports Yelpers, such as managing HR documentation and covering for senior team members as needed.

We’d love to have you apply, even if you don’t feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes. This is a full-time remote role based in the United States.

  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze the results, and identify trends with the Advocate Partner and/or leadership
  • Manage, track, and complete unemployment claims, including representing the organization in unemployment hearings as needed
  • Answer employee and leader questions regarding benefits resources, leaves of absence, etc. and act independently to move employees forward in the appropriate process as needed, which includes partnering with the relevant team(s)
  • Support Advocate Partners in conducting internal team member investigations typically by taking notes, documenting the case in our case management system, and asking questions
  • Represent the Advocate Partner team in separation meetings as needed
  • Act as an out of office cover for Advocate Partners as needed
  • You will complete other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Human Resources, or another relevant field.
  • You are hungry to continue learning and growing in your career.
  • You have the ability to remain professional under pressure.
  • You have the ability to effectively work independently and identify when to engage additional resources or escalate as necessary.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to set priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, and deliver against deadlines.
  • You have excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • You hold impeccable discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.

What you'll get:

  • Effective your first day: Full medical, vision, and dental
  • 15 days PTO (accrual begins on date of hire and increases with 2+ years of tenure thereafter), 12 paid holidays, plus one floating holiday
  • Up to 14 weeks of parental leave
  • Monthly wellness subsidy
  • Work from home reimbursement
  • Flexible spending account
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
