Summary

As a leader in connecting people with great local businesses, Yelp partners with a growing ecosystem of channel partners, enterprise accounts, national brands, and emerging partners that leverage Yelp's advertising and marketing solutions to scale their business. These partners rely on Yelp's suite of APIs to build scalable, high-performing integrations for their clients.

We're seeking a motivated and technically sharp Solutions Engineer to serve as the primary technical resource for Yelp's API ecosystem. In this role, you'll own the end-to-end integration lifecycle - from onboarding intake through production launch, working directly alongside engineering teams and Yelp account teams to deliver successful API implementations. Whether you're helping a channel partner scale hundreds of small business campaigns or guiding a national brand through a custom lead routing integration, you'll be the bridge between Yelp's technical capabilities and the partners that depend on them.

This is a full-time remote role based in the United States.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for Yelp's account teams and their partners — spanning channel partners, enterprises, national brands, and emerging partners — owning the end-to-end API integration process from onboarding intake through production launch.
  • Guide partners through the setup and adoption of Yelp's Leads API, Ads API, Conversions API (CAPI), Reporting API, and Data Ingestion API, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience.
  • Manage integration onboarding intake — gathering platform details, coordinating test business setup, confirming account configurations, and aligning internal stakeholders before kickoff.
  • Work directly within technical environments to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues.
  • Monitor partner integration health using SQL and internal dashboards, identifying adoption gaps, traffic anomalies, and performance issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with GTM leadership to identify technical opportunities, remove blockers, and accelerate API adoption across the partner ecosystem.
  • Act as the voice of the Customer, surfacing recurring technical challenges and client feedback to Yelp's product and engineering teams to help prioritize improvements.
  • Maintain and contribute to internal documentation and integration playbooks to ensure the team can scale its technical support capabilities.

What it takes to succeed:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture or a similar technical client-facing role.
  • Hands-on experience supporting API integrations, with a strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, API authentication patterns, rate limiting, webhooks, and common integration challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across sales, product and engineering teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple partner integrations simultaneously — from large enterprise accounts with dedicated engineering teams to emerging partners with limited technical resources.
  • Comfortable building processes from scratch - our team is still formalizing integration playbooks, tooling, and self-serve workflows, and you'll be shaping them.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with advertising or marketing APIs, particularly those involving reporting, lead management, or campaign management use cases.
  • Exposure to middleware and no-code/low-code integration tools such as Zapier, Workato, or similar platforms.
  • Comfort operating in a startup-like or high-growth environment where processes are still being built.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) to accelerate troubleshooting, documentation, and workflow automation.
  • Experience coding in or working alongside teams using SQL, JavaScript, Python or similar languages.

What you'll get:

  • Effective your first day: Full medical, vision, and dental
  • 15 days PTO (accrual begins on date of hire and increases with 2+ years of tenure thereafter), 12 paid holidays, plus one floating holiday
  • Up to 14 weeks of parental leave
  • Monthly wellness subsidy
  • Work from home reimbursement
  • Flexible spending account
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Employee stock purchase plan
  • Compensation range for this position is $107,000 - $180,000 annually. You may also be offered a bonus and benefits.
